Survey shows worldwide noncompliance for hand hygiene

A survey distributed globally by the World Health Organization (WHO) found that nearly 50% of healthcare professionals don’t wash their hands before coming in contact with patients. This crucial step is WHO’s Moment 1 in its initiative, Save Lives: Clean Your Hands (SLCYH), which has five recommendations (moments) for healthcare workers.
