Proposed NY bill will penalize medical professionals for infectious disease exposure

A bill introduced in the New York legislature may make it a felony for medical personnel who endanger patients by reusing medical equipment. The bill follows a potential hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and/or HIV exposure from unsterilized surgical trays at a New York hospital.
