CDC updates influenza guidelines

Last week the CDC released a rough draft of updated influenza guidelines, which are available for public comment until July 22.

The guidelines focused on vaccination as a primary method of prevention transmission, but the CDC also reversed last year’s interim guidelines, calling for surgical masks instead of N95 respirators, except during aerosol generating procedures.
