New technology could change the way healthcare workers perform hand hygiene, using the same material found in your TV.

Instead of washing their hands with traditional soap and water, employees would put their hand in small box that sterilizes their hands with plasmas in just four seconds, even cleaning under fingernails, according to The New York Times.
