Tip of the week: Track MRSA within your facility

Researchers have created a new genomic tool with the ability to precisely track the spread of MRSA within the hospital or even a community, according to CIDRAP News.
The authors of the study, published in Science, said traditional infection control measures applied to outbreaks within a hospital won’t necessarily stop outside MRSA transmission. The ability to trace the spread of MRSA would allow IPs to find infection pathways within their facility, or deter additional outbreaks from outside sources.
