Nurse is fired over required flu shot

Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX fired a nurse for refusing to get an H1N1 vaccine and then refusing to wear a respirator as an alternative, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

The nurse, Laurie Haw, refused to wear an N95 respirator because she worked in the surgical care unit and reasoned that the last thing patients coming out of anesthesia want to see is someone in a mask.
