A report released by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) recommended that the Homeland Security Council develop a monitoring and reporting process for action items intended for nonfederal entities – including action items asking state, local, and tribal entities to ensure their preparedness plans address mass immunization – identify information needed to carry out response-related action items, and improving how action items are assessed.
The report also said current response to the H1N1 pandemic should be evaluated and incorporated into future versions of the plan. Click the following links to read the abstract or the full GAO report.
