Health agencies chime in on endoscope reprocessing

Endoscopy clinics have had a rough past couple of years when it comes to reprocessing procedures. More than once, headlines have called out these clinics for failing to meet IC best-practices.

Last week the Food and Drug Administration, the CDC, and the Department of Veterans Affairs issued a joint communication with recommendations for healthcare facilities and manufacturers for reprocessing this equipment.

This week OSHA Healthcare Advisor IC blogger, Peg Luebbert, weighs in on the importance of these recommendations.
