WHO guidance addresses H1N1 in TB patients

The World Health Organization (WHO) released a statement to healthcare managers regarding TB patients who may be more susceptible to the H1N1 virus.

Because a substantial number of deaths from H1N1 have occurred in patients with chronic respiratory conditions, WHO says that healthcare managers should collaborate with TB program managers to ensure these patients are cared for correctly.
