New Jersey state health officials have found 29 positive cases of hepatitis B linked to a New Jersey doctor’s office, according to the Associated Press.

In April the state suspended Dr. Parveza Dara’s medical license indefinitely after investigators found infection control violations including blood on the floor where chemotherapy was administered.

So far the state is aware of nearly 1,400 patients who were tested so far. In addition to the 29 positive cases there are 68 patients who tested positive for antibodies, but they cannot be linked to the outbreak, according to the state department.

In March, state epidemiologist Dr. Christina Tan sent a letter to 2,800 patients urging them to get tested and in August Tan sent letters to an additional 2,000 patients.
