Last week New York State Hospital Review and Planning Council (SHRPC) approved regulation that requires influenza vaccinations for healthcare personnel working in hospitals, diagnostic treatment centers, certified home health agencies, long term home health care programs, acquired immune deficiency syndrome home care programs, licensed home care service agencies, and hospices, according to a press release from the Healthcare Association of New York State.
The legislation does not include nursing home employees. You can read more about the new state regulation on OSHA Healthcare Advisor. While you are there you can also take our poll regarding respiratory protection against H1N1.
