At the request of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Marshals seized all skin sanitizers and skin protectants, including ingredients and components, from Clarcon Biological Chemistry Laboratory Inc., in Roy, UT.
Clarcon voluntarily recalled the skin products in June after an FDA inspection revealed poor practices that permitted contamination, and found high levels of potentially disease-causing bacteria. The FDA took action after Clarcon refused to promptly destroy products, ingredients, and materials associated with the skin products, according to a press release.
