There are plenty of airborne precautions for staff to follow when a tuberculosis (TB) patient enters a hospital, but rarely do you need the court system getting involved in infection control.
However a County Circuit judge in Champagne, IL, sentenced one TB infected man to 30 days of isolation in his house because he failed to take the proper precautions to prevent the spread of the infection.
