Half-dose flu shots effective in adults

A new study shows that half-dose influenza vaccinations are effective in adults and may prove an effective strategy when the vaccine must be stretched in a shortage.

The study concluded that half-dose shots in healthy, previously immunized adults were not substantially inferior to the full-dose vaccine, particularly for people ages 18 to 49. The government-funded study appeared in the Archives of Internal Medicine. Click here to read more.
