Want to learn more about what’s ahead when it comes to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) hospital-acquired conditions (HAC), which already include a number of hospital-acquired infections?
On December 18, CMS and the CDC will host a jointly sponsored listening session on HACs in inpatient and outpatient settings. The purpose of the session is for the government to solicit comments as it prepares to add more HACs to the list in 2009. While those on the teleconference call won’t be able to add comments, they can listen in and submit comments in writing. For more information and for registration instructions, click here.
