Most ICPs are swamped these days, juggling a host of new regulatory requirements. However, if you want to convince hospital administration that you need more staff or resources to do your job, building a business case can help.
Terry Burger, BSN, RN, CIC, CAN, BC, director of infection control and prevention at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network in Allentown, PA, just created an IC business plan for her facility. She’ll share the steps she followed in the December 17 audioconference “Build a Business Case for Infection Prevention: Overcome Reimbursement, Regulatory, and Administrative Challenges”.
