CMS launches Web site on hospital-acquired conditions
Quality Improvement Monitor, November 9, 2007
CMS has launched a new Web site to provide information on the eight preventable conditions it will no longer pay for beginning October 1, 2008.
The federal agency has implemented present on admission reporting for all diagnoses to identify hospital-acquired conditions.
Payment and reporting requirements are further explained on the site, as is coding. Free educational products are also available.
