Web site to offer diabetes, digestive, urologic disease information in Spanish
EHR Connection, November 12, 2007
The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has launched three portals on its Web site to feature health information and resources in Spanish, according to a November 5 press release.
The Spanish-language portal pages will include information about diabetes and digestive, kidney, and urologic diseases. NIDDK has nearly 70 publications relating to these health topics and plans to add approximately 30 more, the press release said.
The NIDDK Web site also provides links to the Spanish portals for the National Kidney Disease Education Program and Medline Plus. Visitors also can access NIDDK's Reference Collection, a free online searchable database that includes 78 Spanish-language resources.
NIDDK is a component of the National Institutes of Health, the primary federal agency for conducting and supporting basic, clinical, and translational medical research.
