DM, wellness programs widely adopted

Preliminary results of a market survey of disease management (DM) and wellness vendors, purchasers, and payers show widespread adoption of DM and wellness, but also indicate room to grow on the wellness side and continuing skepticism on the part of purchasers that programs really help save money and improve outcomes. The study also shows that those designing DM and wellness programs might want to consider ways to add incentives for employees to participate, and also prove the value of their programs to physicians so that those doctors will encourage their patients to join in.
