Spy on good safety deeds

A pharmaceutical manufacturer has taken a decidedly positive approach to making sure employees observe safety measures.
Ben Venue Laboratories in Bedford, OH, asks staff members to tell their managers if a coworker takes proactive steps to improve safety on the job. Honored employees receive a small gift and a certificate noting their efforts, reported the September issue of Inside Business.
Such morale-boosters could work well in the halls of hospitals, too.
