Joint Commission Web site offers quality information
Quality Improvement Monitor, October 5, 2007
Patients seeking quality information about their hospitals -- even those that are not accredited by The Joint Commission -- can now find the information on the accrediting agency's Quality Check® Web site, www.qualitycheck.org.
Consumers can also use the site to locate healthcare providers by the types of services they provide, according to a press release from The Joint Commission.
The performance of Joint Commission-accredited hospitals is detailed in an organization-specific Quality Report on the Web site. Each report provides details about an organization's accreditation status and compliance with the National Patient Safety Goals.
