Matria lowers expectations for 2007 revenue, earnings

Marietta, GA-based Matria Healthcare, Inc., reported second-quarter earnings of $0.22 a share-in line with analysts' expectations-but prompted words of disappointment from those same analysts when it reduced its guidance for the second half of the year. The reduced guidance for the last two quarters and the full year was due to a slower-than-expected pace of new contract wins and later-than-expected start dates.
