NPI Registry to commence in September
Ambulatory Surgery Reimbursement Update, August 21, 2007
CMS plans to release National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) provider data via the Internet September 4, according to the CMS Web site.
Healthcare provider data will be available in the following two forms:
- A query-only database (known as the NPI Registry)
- A downloadable file
The registry will be functional on September 4 and available for download approximately one week later.
