Missouri hospital worker attacked

A Fulton State Hosptial employee suffered serious wounds after a patient attacked him in early August, reported KRCG TV.
The Callaway County Sheriff's Department in Missouri is investigating the incident which occurred in a unit that houses the most dangerous patients at the state mental hospital. The hospital said the worker was moving the patient inside the maximum security building when the attacked happened. The worker said the patitent hit him in the
face with his fists. The worker was taken to the hospital with numerous facial fractures.
A recently installed camera system caught the attack on tape. The hospital's chief operating officer told the TV station that there was no violation of safety protocols but the facility will complete a full investigation.
