eRx Collaborative hits the 10.8 million mark
EHR Connection, August 13, 2007
eRx Collaborative, an electronic prescription network, formed by Boston-based Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Tufts Health Plan reached a new height of e-prescribing on August 2. Participants in the eRx Collaborative have transmitted more than 10.8 million prescriptions over the past three-and-a-half years.
The collaborative has yielded positive results so far; during the past six months, 50,000 prescriptions were changed as a result of drug safety alerts that the e-prescribing software generated.
