Security guard attacked with aerosol deodorant
Healthcare Security Weekly, August 6, 2007
A 24-year-old woman was taken into police custody and charged with attacking a hospital security guard with a can of aerosol deodorant on July 30.
The recently discharged patient sprayed the deodorant into the eyes of a male security guard at the Barbara Arons Pavilion, near the Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA, reported NBC 11. The guard suffered minor injuries.
The woman may have attacked the guard in hopes of being charged with a crime and then provided county-funded medication, according to a sheriff's sergeant.
