Healthways will stay in MHS, cites Medicare 'opportunity'

Healthways, Inc., intends to stay in its stand-alone Medicare Health Support (MHS) pilot, saying that the financial risks associated with continuing to participate are relatively small compared to the potential opportunity if the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) decides to expand MHS. The decision from the Nashville, TN-based disease management (DM) vendor came as Healthways reported its financial results for its third quarter, which ended May 31.
