Clothing manufacturer’s name will be on new ER
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, July 27, 2007
A recent $10 million donation from clothing giant Abercrombie & Fitch has bought a new name for the emergency department and trauma center at Columbus Children's Hospital. The "Abercrombie & Fitch Emergency Department and Trauma Center" will be fully operational by 2011.
According to the hospital's Web site, construction is scheduled to begin next year. Columbus Children's Hospital already operates the third busiest pediatric emergency department in the nation and is the home of Ohio's first Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. In 2005, more than 75,000 patients were treated in the emergency department
