UCH campaign touts hospital's strengths
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, June 29, 2007
Although the University of Colorado Hospital is the Rocky Mountain region's sole academic medical center and National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer facility, hospital surveys show only 11% of nearby residents are aware of it.
In response, the hospital started an advertising campaign to coincide with its recent move to the brand new Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. The hospital has spent nearly $250,000 for the initial media purchases, according to the Rocky Mountain News. Denver-based Cactus Marketing Communications is filming television spots that will build on print, online, and outdoor advertising that launched earlier this year.
On June 14, the hospital completed the final patient transfer from its former facility. The new campus will support 66,000 jobs and $6.3 billion annually in direct and indirect economic activity, the News says.
