Tip of the week: Security a focus area in revised standard
Healthcare Security Weekly, July 2, 2007
Hospital security and safety directors should start prepping now for the new Joint Commission standard EC.4.10.
Hospitals that want to stay ahead of the curve should review their existing emergency plans under EC.4.10 in light of expected focus areas in the revisions slated to take effect January 1, 2008, including communication, resources and assets, safety and security, staff members' roles and responsibilities, utilities, and clinical activities.
To learn more, go to www.hcpro.com/ppv-71446.html. The cost is $10. Briefings on Hospital Safety subscribers received this story with their subscriptions.
