Tip of the week: Set times for employee health responsibilities
Infection Control Monitor, June 22, 2007
Learning to manage your time effectively is an important skill for busy infection control professionals (ICP) who often do many different jobs.
One way to avoid time-wasters and keep you on track is to set definite times to perform your employee health responsibilities. If you're an ICPs who is also the employee health nurse, it's important to let people know when you will be in the employee health office to perform vaccinations, tuberculin skin tests, etc. Give them an emergency contact number for after office hours.
For more tips on managing your workload, go to www.hcpro.com/content/71458.cfm. The cost is $10. Briefings on Infection Control subscribers received this story with their subscriptions.
