XLHealth cautious but optimistic about its MHS pilot

At least one Medicare Health Support (MHS) pilot- the Tennessee program run by XLHealth Corp.-seems to be turning in good early results, despite problems faced by all six of the remaining MHS vendors, company officials say. The report, delivered by XLHealth chief medical officer Harry Leider, MD, during the Disease Management Colloquium in Philadelphia in May, comes at a time when vendors and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) are discussing problems with data flow and with meeting the financial guarantees required by the pilot program.
