Tip of the week: Use a checklist
Infection Control Monitor, June 8, 2007
It's important that infection control professionals regularly make rounds through a hospital's ICU. Your tours through the ICU should allow you to freely observe activities, but it may be helpful to bring a checklist with you when you go to help track areas you'd like to monitor and to record compliance, says Libby F. Chinnes, RN, BSN, CIC, a consultant for IC Solutions, LLC, in
.
This checklist can be basic or all encompassing and should be tailored to the needs of your facility. To learn more, go to www.hcpro.com/content/70162.cfm. The cost is $10. Briefings on Infection Control subscribers received this story with their subscriptions. Most Popular
