Wellogic, Pricewaterhouse boost efforts for HIE initiatives
EHR Connection, June 4, 2007
Wellogic and PricewaterhouseCoopers Health (PwC) will collaboratively help health systems, RHIOs, and communities implement health information exchange (HIE) initiatives, the companies report.
PwC and Wellogic hope the collaboration will effectively connect the many components of the highly-fragmented industry and create a truly patient-centric longitudinal record of care. The two companies will offer a comprehensive set of services and expertise ranging from relationship, policy, and financial model development to implementation of technology and tools for managing and reporting on shared clinical data. The two will also provide HIE technology platforms, best practice guidance, and implementation blueprints and services. PwC and Wellogic are already working together with a joint client, AtlantiCare, the largest healthcare organization in southeastern New Jersey.
