Alliance to target hospital infections

VHA Inc.,a national healthcare alliance, has helped organize a group of 12 healthcare industry leaders to combat hospital-acquired infections (HAI) and methicillin-resistant Staphyloccus aureus (MRSA).
The group aims to reduce the burden on hospital staff and other personnel and to develop common definitions, measurement, and reporting. In addition, the group will endorse evidence based approaches to control, treat and eliminate HAIs and MRSA, according to a press release from the VHA.The initial organizations participating in this initiative are:
