Americans want digital healthcare
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, May 4, 2007
Americans are eager for the healthcare industry to utilize electronic medical records, says a survey unveiled May 2 at the Health IT: Unlocking the Potential summit in Washington, D.C.
The survey, which was conducted by a public opinion research company on behalf of Kaiser Permanente, found that 51% of Americans favor providers who use electronic records over those who do not. In the same survey, 68% said they preferred insurance companies who use them.
One thousand American adults participated in the random telephone survey. For more information about the survey's findings, click here.
