Wal-Mart will open 400 more clinics
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, May 11, 2007
Wal-Mart announced April 25 that it will open up to 400 additional in-store health clinics in the next three years. That number could grow to more than 2,000 in seven years if market conditions continue to demand the in-store medical clinics, a Wal-Mart press release said.
During its announcement, Wal-Mart said it intends to contract with local hospitals and other organizations to operate and staff the clinics.
