Charities fared better in 2006
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, April 6, 2007
Seven out of 10 charities report raising more money in 2006 than 2005, according to figures released by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) on March 26.
This is the sixth year that AFP has surveyed charities to compare their fundraising to the previous year's total. The survey looks at not only the amount of money raised, but also the methods used to solicit funds.
Overall, 69% of organizations surveyed say they raised more money in 2006 than 2005, with 24% of respondents raising less, and 7% raising approximately the same amount.
