Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, April 6, 2007
Naples (FL) Community Hospital and the Language Access Network (LAN) announced an agreement on April 4 that will allow the hospital to provide care in 150 different languages.
LAN's video/audio interpretation service will be offered to hospital patients free of charge and 24 hours a day. The system uses real-time, interactive video technology to help doctors and nurses break down communication barriers with patients.
