Healthways cuts revenue guidance, blames backlog

Disease management (DM) vendor Healthways, Inc.,in Nashville cut its fiscal year (FY) 2007 revenue guidance in April, blaming later-than-expected start dates for backlogged contracts, and it also said that its Medicare Health Support (MHS) pilot results were below expectations again. The company said it expects that its revenue will be in the range of $640-$659 million, compared with its previous guidance of $667-$701 million.
