N.J. hospitals receive $6 million in P4P plan

Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (BCBSNJ) announced this week that it awarded $6 million to more than 60 N.J. hospitals for high quality and safe patient outcomes through the Leapfrog Hospital Reward Program (LHRP).
Last July, BCBSNJ and The Leapfrog Group announced a collaboration to provide New Jersey hospitals financial and public recognition for high-quality and efficient care via Horizon BCBSNJ's Hospital Recognition Program, according to a press release from the Leapfrog Group. Within this program, hospitals in the Horizon BCBSNJ network have the option to participate via the LHRP or a similar option created by Horizon BCBSNJ.
