Use of telemedicine tools grows within DM

A growing proportion of disease management (DM) programs include some form of telemedicine technology, such as remote monitoring, as a way of keeping closer tabs on participants while stretching provider resources. But proponents of the technology say the industry has just begun to scratch the surface when it comes to using telemedicine tools within DM, even though some of the targets of DM programs-older patients-aren't completely comfortable with some forms of technology.
