Support site wins ADDY award
Healthcare Strategist Trend Watch, March 30, 2007
A Web site designed to support to cancer patient was given a silver award at a regional ADDY Awards competition on March 24. The Hope Garden, www.flowersforhope.com was created by BSD Medical Corp. of Salt Lake City, which makes hyperthermia therapy systems that can be used along with chemotherapy or radiation to treat cancer.
The Hope Garden was created with the idea that support from friends, loved ones, and survivors would help cancer patients in their healing process. The site allows visitors to plant a virtual flower, or leave a supportive message on the site.
The ADDY is one of several awards won by The Hope Garden since it was created in 2006.
