MA approves seven low-cost health plans for uninsured

In Massachusetts, the board that oversees healthcare reform for the state has approved seven health plans that will offer inexpensive coverage to residents without insurance.

According to an article in The Boston Globe, this sets the stage for the state's landmark effort to extend health insurance to every resident. As of July 1, residents without insurance could lose their personal state income tax deduction.
