Hospital security officer cut in attack

Healthcare Security Weekly, March 12, 2007

A security officer in Tulsa, OK, was cut March 2 by a man he stopped to question about recent car break-ins at Saint Francis Hospital.

The hospital security officer was patrolling the parking lot shortly before 5:30 a.m. when he saw a man matching the description of a man who had robbed vehicles the previous week, the Associated Press reported. The officer was talking to the man when the man cut him with what appeared to be a box cutter.

The officer was treated at the hospital's emergency room.
