Provider will not pursue retroactive copayments

Managed Care Weekly Advisor, March 7, 2007

Humana, Inc., has decided not to hold 5,713 elderly and disabled members liable for retroactive copayments, thanks in large part to objections and intervention by other members and Connecticut governor M. Jodi Rell.

The insurer had previously billed these members stating that copayments for medications had mistakenly been waived, charging them on average $50.
