Security guards thwart bank robbers' escape
Healthcare Security Weekly, March 5, 2007
A pair of security guards at the Willis-Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, LA prevented the escape of two armed men who allegedly robbed a nearby bank February 21.
Shreveport Police said after the two suspects robbed the Capital One Bank, they ran back to a car they left at the hospital parking lot, reported KSLA-TV. The two security guards saw the men running from the bank to the parking lot. Before the suspects could get into the getaway car, the guards captured the men and held them until police arrived.
Police found money stolen from the bank inside the car and a weapon believed used in the robbery lying on the ground nearby.
