Security guard stabbed
Healthcare Security Weekly, March 5, 2007
A security guard at a mental health crisis center in Vallejo, CA was stabbed February 27.
The guard was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek after he was stabbed in his thoracic area, reported the Times-Herald. The guard was taking a break with a co-worker when a suspect approached him from behind and stabbed him in the upper shoulder with a pocket knife, said a public information officer for the Solano County Sheriff's Department. He was airlifted to the hospital as a precaution.
Police arrested a 53-year-old man and charged him with force with a deadly weapon and great bodily injury.
