Disgruntled worker hacks computers
E-Health Trend Watch, February 23, 2007
Hsun Lin, a computer administrator upset about the possibility of losing his job, planted an electronic "bomb" in the systems of Medco Health Solutions, Inc., in Franklin Lakes, NJ, according to the Associated Press.
Had it not been discovered and neutralized by the company, the bomb would have erased critical patient information at the prescription drug management company.
It also could have caused financial damage to the company and possibly harmed a large number of patients. Lin has been charged with two counts of computer fraud.
