Three facilities sued for misuse of drugs

Three Illinois nursing homes are named in a wrongful death suit that claims staff gave the drug Seroquel to a resident and it contributed to his death, reported The Record of Edwardsville. The resident's daughter filed the suit, which also alleges many violations of providing inappropriate medical care, including that the nursing homes failed to keep the resident free of chemical restraints, failed to employ adequately trained staff, and failed to ensure her father's drug regimen was free from unnecessary drugs, according to The Record.
